Sell & Trade-In

Turn what you own into what you really want.
Vintage audio collecting is a journey. Over time, your taste changes, your system grows, and a unit that once felt perfect may no longer be the one you want to keep.
GLOBAL OPT offers a practical way to sell or trade in selected vintage audio equipment — especially for collectors who want to upgrade their systems without managing listings, negotiations, packing, international buyers, and shipping on their own.
What You Can Offer
We review selected vintage audio equipment, including:
- Boomboxes;
- Cassette decks;
- Reel-to-reel tape recorders;
- Turntables;
- Receivers;
- Amplifiers;
- Speakers;
- CD players;
- Complete audio systems;
- Rare and collectible audio components.
We are especially interested in equipment with strong collector value, good visual condition, original boxes, rare versions, desirable brands, or models with international demand.
Two Ways to Work With GLOBAL OPT
Option 1 — Sell Your Equipment
You can offer your vintage audio equipment to GLOBAL OPT for review.
Please send us the model name, photos, video, condition details, location, and your expected price. Our team will review the item and decide whether it fits our current collection, technical standards, market demand, and logistics possibilities.
If the item is suitable, we may make a purchase offer or discuss possible next steps.
Option 2 — Trade In and Upgrade
If you previously purchased equipment from GLOBAL OPT and now want to upgrade, we may consider your unit for trade-in.
This allows collectors to move toward a higher-level, rarer, or better-condition piece without handling the resale process alone.
The value of the accepted unit may be applied toward another item from the GLOBAL OPT collection, with the customer paying any applicable price difference.
How the Process Works
- Send us the model name, photos, video, location, and condition details.
- Our team reviews the item, demand, condition, and market potential.
- If the equipment is suitable, we discuss an estimated value or trade-in option.
- If both sides agree, we confirm logistics and next steps.
- The equipment is inspected after arrival.
- Final terms are confirmed based on the actual condition of the unit.
What We Consider During Evaluation
Each item is reviewed individually. We consider:
- Brand and model;
- Technical condition;
- Cosmetic condition;
- Completeness;
- Original box, manual, and accessories;
- Rarity and collector demand;
- Age and historical value;
- Service potential;
- Shipping route and logistics risk;
- Current market price and resale potential.
Important Notes
GLOBAL OPT does not automatically accept every item offered.
Some equipment may be declined if it has low demand, poor condition, missing key parts, high repair risk, difficult logistics, or limited commercial potential.
Our goal is to work only with equipment that can be responsibly handled, properly presented, and offered to future buyers with confidence.
Why Trade-In With GLOBAL OPT
Selling vintage audio can take time and effort. You may need to prepare photos, answer technical questions, deal with low offers, manage packing, calculate international shipping, and handle buyer concerns.
GLOBAL OPT helps simplify this process.
For collectors, trade-in can be a practical way to keep improving a collection while staying connected to a trusted vintage audio source.
